Features

New Instance Option
Create instances of curves and facets with the new Instance option that is available with the Duplicate, Mirror, and Pattern tools. The following new commands are included for instances in Pro|CONCEPT:

Edit > Instance with which you can edit the instances that you have created.
Edit > Unlink with which you can break the association of the instances to the parent geometry to create independent geometry.

New Section Tool
Cut planar sections through facets using the new Section tool on the Tools menu.

New Tool, Curvature > Plot
Evaluate curve quality with the new tool, Curvature > Plot, from the Analysis toolbar or the Tools menu. You can clear the display of the curvature plots with the Clear and Clear All commands.

New Light Type
Use the new light type, Sky in the Lights editor, to simulate natural outdoor lighting and light up a scene.

New Brightness Option
Adjust the brightness of a scene of a PhotoLux rendering using the new Brightness option from the Advanced tab of the Render Setup dialog box. Use Brightness to lighten a dark scene or darken a light scene.

Enhancements to the Curve Editing Capabilities
Enhancements to the curve editing capabilities enable you to:

Align a tangent to another tangent.
Constrain a tangent to be tangent to a facet.

New Command, Delete Unused
A new command, Delete Unused, is added to the Material editor. Use Delete Unused to remove all materials that are not applied to the existing geometry.

New Option, Smooth Boundary
A new option, Smooth Boundary, is added to the Mesh tool. Use Smooth Boundary to achieve a smoother transition between the selected and the unselected facets.

Standard Rooms have been Updated
The default room that is automatically loaded into the Room editor is now a studio room with a neutral backdrop in gray color. The library of standard rooms has also been updated with a more representative set of rooms.

Customize the Toolbar Shortcuts
By default, toolbar shortcuts are displayed for the Analysis tools, such as Measures, Curvature Plot, Curvature Clear All, and Sections. You can customize the toolbar shortcuts.

Interactively Zoom a 3D View
You can use the roller wheel of the mouse to interactively zoom a 3D view.
